In keeping with its tradition of excellence, IIM Indore is pleased to announce the successful completion of summer placements for the class of 2024–2026. Over 215 recruiters, including 25 first-time recruiters, participated in this year’s placement season, demonstrating the institute’s increasing popularity among business executives.

For the two-month internship, the average salary offered increased to ₹2.53 lakhs, indicating a notable increase from year to year. The largest stipend was ₹5 lakhs, indicating that there is a strong need for IIM Indore talent in a variety of industries. In addition to attractive positions in sales and marketing and new fields like product management and sustainability, the majority of offers were still made in consulting, IT/Analytics, finance, and general management.

This year, consulting drew the most offers, with consulting behemoths like Accenture Strategy, Accenture Tech Consulting, Accuracy, and Boston Consulting Group accounting for 35% of all offers.

PwC US Advisory, Vector Consulting Group, Deloitte USI, Graviton Consulting, Everest Group, Deloitte India, EY, Kearney, KPMG, GEP Worldwide, PwC India, Indus Insights, and Infosys Consulting.

Elite consulting firms now provide specialised employment in fields like business valuations and modelling, corporate finance, and deal analysis in addition to generic consulting responsibilities. Research & Advisory, Solution Advisor, Operations Transformation, Financial Services Transformation, Digital Transformation, Strategy, and Functional Consultant

Finance

With more sought-after positions from leading recruiters like Ambit Capital, Axis Bank, Citi, CRISIL, Deutsche Bank, Elara Capital, IndusInd Bank,  HSBC, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Life, Info Edge, Bank of America, Barclays, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Nomura, Standard Chartered Bank, The D.E. Shaw Group, and Yes Bank, the finance cohort accounted for 14% of all offers.

Corporate Banking, ICG Loan Operations, Customer Success, Equity Research, Financial Advisory and Reporting, Financial Strategy & Operations, Global Risk, Fund Advisory, Investment Banking, Insurance Strategy, Micro banking, Private Banking, Product Strategy, Risk & Underwriting, Strategy Initiatives, Trade Finance, and Transfer Pricing were among the positions available under the finance category.

IT/ Analytics

Amazon, American Express, Accenture Operations, HCL Software, HCL Tech, Accordion Partners, Axtria, Capgemini Chrysalis, Hexaware, IDFC First Bank, Cognisant, Genpact, Microsoft, Motorq, Optum, and Wipro were among the companies that offered offers to 10% of the batch for IT/analytics positions.

Data Science, Data Analytics, Solution Manager, Digital Journey Owner, Enterprise Product Solutions, Product Management, Project Management, Global Merchant Network, Product Development, Process Manager, and Technical Project Management were among the varied roles that recruiters offered despite the cooling job market.

General Management/ HR/ Operations

An increase in the number of recruiters applying for important managerial and leadership positions in general management, human resources, and operations was a defining feature of this placement season. Major companies such as Adani, DCM Shriram, Jio Financial Services, General Mills, Airtel, Biocon, Delhivery, Everest Group,  Capgemini E.L.I.T.E., Cipla, Godrej Properties Limited, Larsen & Toubro, OLA Electric, PhonePe, Reliance Industries Limited, Renew Power, and TATA Administrative Services extended offers to 27% of the batch.

Head Merchandiser, Production Manager, Chief of Staff, Client Service, Commercial Lead, Corporate Strategy, Global Business Unit, Procurement Manager, Founder’s Office,  Implementation Manager, Key Account Manager, Operations Manager, Purchases, Strategy and M&A, and Supply Chain Manager were among the notable profiles in this domain.

Sales and Marketing

Prominent recruiters such as Asian Paints, AstraZeneca, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, Bajaj Auto, Eli Lilly, General Mills, Haleon, Bajaj Consumer Care, Hindustan Unilever Limited, PepsiCo, Reckitt, Samsung, ITC Limited, Lodha,TATA Consumer Products, TATA Steel, and Varun Beverages Limited participated in the sales and marketing function, which accounted for 13% of all offers.

Account Management, Advertise Operations, B2B Sales, Bid Management, Forecast Analyst, Growth Marketing, Category Lead, Corporate Sales, Digital Marketing, Purchase Manager, Retail Business, Institutional Sales, Pre Sales, Product Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships were among the fields that offered students a mix of traditional and cutting-edge positions.

Conclusion

The final placement for the class of 2023 – 2025 demonstrated the institute’s tenacity in the face of a downturn in the economy. This year’s high enrolment figures demonstrate how well-known IIM Indore is among recruiters.
