There are two papers in JEE (Main). For admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E. or B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIS), as well as institutions and universities supported or acknowledged by participating State Governments, Paper 1 is administered. Thirteen languages—English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu—will be used for JEE (Main) 2026.
